Office Work - Pt 1

Like many of you, I work in an office. It's not a fancy job, I work in a cubicle, I take the bus to work, it's all around...blah. But there are a few things that kind of make this job tolerable, little things throughout the day that at least make me feel better about myself.

1) The men's room. It's good to know that I don't have the most vicious coffee shits of all the dudes in my office. Judging by the stench that lingers between 9 and 11am - I think some of the other guys on this floor have colon cancer.

2) I get to talk to the strangest people on the phone, sometimes it's frustrating, but mostly it's amusing. I'm not really going to go into what I do (at least not right now), but let's just say that there is a large percentage of the population who is willing to divulge WAY too much information over the phone.

3) If this blog ever gets big enough that anyone cares to read it - I'll probably get fired...and strangely, I'm OK with that. Because as much as this list is things that make the job tolerable - I think the post about why this job is INtolerable would be way longer...and the points would come to me quicker.

4) Almost everyone in this office has been doing what the do for years, I've only been here a few weeks. And nothing burns you out like working an office job. There's some sparks of life every once and a while, but I like the fact that after work I'm going to hang out with my friends, or my band's going to play a show, or I'm going to go home and see my girlfriend; meet other friends for lunch, etc etc.

5) I can do my job with a wicked hangover - this makes sure I don't have to put a damper on my social life. Bonus!
